Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify several important features and support them with accurate figures: men peak at 52.8% among 15–24-year-olds, while women reach 53.3% at 45–54; you also correctly identify the male low of 39.5% and the near-equal rates among those aged 65 and over. The overview notes the male and female lows, but its claim that the youngest group did the most activity is too broad: this is true for men, not women, whose highest rate is among 45–54-year-olds. The statement that the oldest group is higher than the second-youngest is also not true for women. The final comparison calls 25–34 the lowest group for both genders, although women’s lowest rate is in the oldest group. More precise overview and comparisons would make the key features clearer.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs presenting comparisons and figures. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is uneven: the final paragraph returns to the claim about the lowest group, and the overview’s generalisations are not consistently supported by the later details. Linking phrases such as “In contrast” and “Lastly” are used, but some do not clearly express the relationship between the figures that follow. For example, “In contrast female are higher in every age group except the first” would fit more naturally beside the age-group comparisons. Group the data by the main trend—men’s pattern, women’s pattern, then notable comparisons—and use transitions only where they clarify that progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “age group,” “percentage,” “highest,” “lowest,” and “nearly same,” so the topic is generally clear. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “Austraillian,” “agre,” “rugularily,” and “acticity.” The phrase “physical activities like gym, yoga, running etc.” adds examples that the chart does not provide; “regular physical activity” would be more accurate and appropriately formal. Some expressions are also awkward, such as “female took the lead” and “lowest physical activity age group for both gender combine compare to others.” Aim for standard collocations such as “the proportion of women was higher” and “the lowest rate was recorded among.” Proofreading spelling and choosing concise chart language would strengthen control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including comparisons joined with “while” and “however,” and the reader can usually understand the intended meaning. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. For example, “Firstly male are highest in age group” needs clearer article use and a complete grammatical pattern, while “female are 47.7%” has an agreement problem. The sentence beginning “In age group of 35 to 44” combines several comparisons and clauses without clear punctuation, making the relationships harder to follow. The opening also ends with the fragment “In 2010 rugularily.” Use complete sentences, check singular and plural forms, and separate long comparisons into shorter clauses. More consistent control of these patterns would improve accuracy.
