Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You report most of the chart’s figures for all six age groups, and the values are generally accurate; for example, you correctly give 39.5% for men and 52.5% for women aged 35–44. However, the response has no clear, accurate overview of the main patterns. The closing claim that men “were rise” and women “grow over the males” is unclear and does not capture that men lead only in the youngest group, while women lead in every other group. The statement that both sexes “maintain equality” is also unsupported. The response is one word below the 150-word minimum. Add a concise overview and explain the key contrast and trends rather than mainly listing figures.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it introduces the chart, groups the figures into two sections, and ends with an attempted summary. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is limited because the body largely lists age groups without clearly comparing the sexes or highlighting patterns, and the final paragraph does not follow logically from the data. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “After, analysis” are either mechanical or awkwardly used. Paragraphing is present, but the relationships between ideas are not consistently clear. Group the data around meaningful trends—for example, the male and female rates by age—and use straightforward comparisons to connect the figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic chart-related vocabulary to communicate the topic and several figures, including “percentage,” “age group,” and “physical activity.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “were does physical activity,” “males were rise,” and “maintain equality” are not natural ways to describe participation or trends. There are also spelling and form problems, including “australian,” “physica,” and “secondely.” Aim for precise, reusable language such as “the proportion of men,” “participated in regular physical activity,” “increased,” and “was higher than.” Check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts simple sentences and some longer constructions, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning. For example, “52.8% males were does physical activity” has problems with sentence structure and verb form, while “the males were rise” does not form a correct past-tense statement. Articles and sentence boundaries are also unreliable, as in “there were 45 to 54 age group man was 43.1%.” Most statements follow a repetitive list pattern, with little accurate variety in clause structures. Practise complete comparative sentences, such as “Among 25–34-year-olds, 48.9% of women were active, compared with 42.2% of men,” and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation.
