Student answer (Band 5.0)
Sharing a lot of details and information in plenty of fields, like science, business and educational world is something which is argued by many people. Some think that it is right to share these informations, whereas others believe that it is too crucial to be revealed. In my opinion, it think that both have their own merits. In this essay i will discuss about both views and give the appropriate examples.
On the one hand, people believe in the beneficial side of sharing a significant number of information because it helps to solve some problems relied with work. For instance, when biologists try to find a cure for some dissease, they will need the words of everyone who are included on that task with sharing to each other each information that comes to their minds. As a result, they will certainly end with finding a solution for this problem.
On the other hand, some informations and details are too important to be shared to other people, it is mainly due to the fact that, if it will be revealed it might destabilize the community in all the areas. For example, scientists while discovering a new invention, they couldn't share it directly to governement without doing multiple experiences about it. Consenquently, by keeping this information in secret, they will avoid troubles with the community and the citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You introduce both views and give a personal position, saying that “both have their own merits,” and the two body paragraphs broadly address sharing and protecting information. However, the discussion is only partial: the benefits of sharing are illustrated through a general example about biologists, while the case for restricting information is less convincing and does not clearly explain what kinds of information should remain private or why. The example about scientists not sharing an invention with the government is difficult to follow. Your conclusion is also absent, so your opinion is not fully established. The response is 24 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support the ideas. Explain each view more fully and end by stating your position clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction followed by one paragraph for each view. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers identify the contrast, and the first example is linked to its point with “For instance.” However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and some links between claims are unclear. For example, the claim that keeping information secret will “avoid troubles with the community and the citizens” does not clearly follow from the example about testing an invention. The essay also ends without a concluding paragraph, leaving the discussion unfinished. Develop a clearer sequence of claim, explanation and example in each body paragraph, and use a brief conclusion to bring the two views together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “biologists,” “cure,” “invention” and “community,” so the subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “a significant number of information,” “the words of everyone,” and “destabilize the community in all the areas.” There are also spelling errors such as “dissease,” “governement” and “Consenquently,” alongside repeated use of “information” and “share.” Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing access, confidentiality and research, and check spelling and countability. For instance, use “a large amount of information” rather than “a significant number of information.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if it will be revealed it might destabilize the community.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “it think” has an incorrect subject–verb form, “everyone who are included” has an agreement error, and “if it will be revealed” uses an unsuitable verb form after “if.” The sentence beginning “On the other hand” also joins two independent ideas with only a comma. Practise accurate conditional patterns, subject–verb agreement and punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a clear grammatical structure.
