Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been thought by few individuals that sharing information with others is useful specifically in cooperate, scientific inventions and in educational world. While others say that not all the information is necessary to be shared with everyone. I believe sharing information is useful in above mentioned fields, only if necessary information is being shared. I will discuss both views before presenting my own opinion.
On the one hand, sharing information is useful in scientific world. If the scientists from one nation share information with others it can resolve so many problems. For example, when COVID-19 hit, all scientists from all over the world, worked together to make the effective vaccination and eventually they succeeded too. In educational field, students can get benefits in their courses if the information is available on the internet and easy to access. In business world, companies can get benefit to know the real time market values and invest accordingly, only if they have the useful information available.
On the other hand, some information that is valuable is not necessary to be shared freely because it can cause some serious trouble. For example, in business world, companies should not share their strategies that how they succeeded, because competitor companies use those against them and become profitable. In scientific world,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both sides of the argument and provide a clear position, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly in the second body paragraph. Because the response is unfinished, the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure you complete the essay with a concluding paragraph that summarises your main points and restates your opinion. The current lack of a conclusion and the truncated argument prevent a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to signal the structure. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is missing entirely. Referencing is generally clear, but the lack of a full essay structure makes the overall flow feel disjointed. To achieve a higher band, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that the essay concludes with a summary that ties all arguments together logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'vaccination', 'strategies', and 'competitor'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'cooperate' (should be 'corporate') and 'in educational world' (should be 'in the educational world'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that word forms are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'It has been thought by few individuals' (which is awkward phrasing) and 'companies can get benefit to know' (should be 'benefit from knowing'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are minor errors in article usage (e.g., 'in scientific world'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles to improve your accuracy.
