Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. While you mention the benefits of sharing information (e.g., education and environmental awareness) and the reasons for keeping information private (e.g., research and business secrets), the arguments lack depth and logical connection to the prompt. The conclusion does not clearly state your own opinion, which is a requirement of the task. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your personal stance is explicitly stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion', their usage is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'In the contrast' or 'In the modern era of the world'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. To improve, focus on using transition words more naturally and ensure that each sentence flows logically from the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'make private and secretly' instead of 'keep confidential' and 'not to publicity' instead of 'not made public'. Some terms are used incorrectly, which occasionally impedes the reader's understanding. To improve, try to learn collocations (words that naturally go together) and avoid translating directly from your native language. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to research and business would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement, sentence fragments, and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'information's talk about to all citizens'). Many sentences are incomplete or lack a clear structure, which makes the writing difficult to follow. There is a very limited range of complex sentence structures, and the ones attempted are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction—ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb—before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
