Student answer (Band 7.0)
A certain number of individuals seems to accept that it is good to share excess details in relation to topics in the science world, business world as well as the academic world.A different group believes that some information is far too important or too precious to be circulated at ease, in my opinion, I believe that it’s adequate to share as much information on interesting headings like science, business and as well as the World of Academics.
Firstly, I am of the positive view of sharing multitude of information concerning about the above issues (business, academia and science) because in helps in further discovery in these areas of life, which in reality is the major aspect of this world. If there are no baseline information in science in particular , there won’t be new inventions. This is because instead of working with previous discoveries to help lead to the discovery of a new one, the world would be stuck developing ideas from basic to complex which would take more time to achieve what we have in science today. For example if there weren’t much information from predecessor scientists the world of science might never have reached the age of artificial intelligence this fast.
Secondly, in the world of business and science where by mentorship is seemed key and would most likely determine if an individual succeed exceedingly in the area of business or education he/she seem to chase. Example in the world of business informations from business moguls like Elon Musk, Aliko Dangote, Warren Buffett both from interviews, podcast and even there written books help aspiring entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs find foot around business and how to get to the top.
However, excess information on business, academics and science, has destroyed the motivation we used to create and have to discover new ideas, partnering this areas. For example we are still testing Nikolas Teslas theories, which we don’t know how valid his hypothesis were, instead of finding and validating new inventions, the world is still stuck with the information of the past great minds of Albert Einstein and other science gurus.
In conclusion, excess information is good in the aspect of creating a baseline for new discoveries in business and in science new invention and ad well as in the world of education but has it negatives in stagnating the minds of the contemporary generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both sides of the argument and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, particularly the discussion on scientific progress and mentorship. However, the development of the counter-argument regarding the 'stagnation' of ideas is somewhat underdeveloped and lacks a clear link to the prompt's core tension between 'valuable' information and 'open' information. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments could be more nuanced to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'However', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'partnering this areas'. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentence structures are repetitive, which slightly affects the flow. The progression of ideas is logical, but the connection between the conclusion and the body paragraphs could be more tightly integrated to ensure a smoother overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'artificial intelligence', 'entrepreneurs', and 'hypothesis'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice or awkward collocations, such as 'circulated at ease', 'find foot around business', and 'excess details'. These errors do not impede communication but prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. A wider range of sophisticated vocabulary would improve the overall quality.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('A certain number of individuals seems'), incorrect preposition usage ('concerning about'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are overly long and convoluted, which leads to minor confusion. The control of grammar is inconsistent, and while the student attempts complex structures, they are often marred by errors that require the reader to re-read for clarity.
