Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 189 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you have identified both sides of the argument and provided a personal opinion, the points are under-developed and lack specific examples or logical expansion. For instance, the argument that 'free is no worthy' is vague and lacks supporting evidence. To improve, you must expand your paragraphs with detailed explanations and concrete examples to fully address the prompt's requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to structure the response. However, the progression of ideas is limited by the brevity of the paragraphs. The sentences within paragraphs are somewhat disjointed, and the logical flow is hindered by grammatical errors. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by supporting arguments that are linked smoothly using a wider variety of cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'valuable'. There are also issues with word forms and collocations, such as 'is reduces valuables' and 'no worthy'. The use of 'knowledges' is incorrect as 'knowledge' is an uncountable noun. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express complex ideas, rather than relying on simple, repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'if knowledges and expanded awareness give big chances', 'is reduces valuables', and 'have to be payed' (should be 'paid'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors in subject-verb agreement or word order. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses, pluralization, and the correct use of passive voice.
