Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the contemporary era, grabbing ample of information regarding scientific research, business and the academic world is easy task owing to internet. Some people believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. This essay intends to discuss my perspective along with the suitable arguments in the subsequent paragraphs.
I firmly believe that information regarding country's growing economy or scientific research should be private and not to be shared to public as it can be detrimental for the country. Moreover, easily access to scientific researches can leads to copying them and getting the credit as well as people can ruin others experiment.
Further enhancing my views, freely sharing academic life leads to frustration, competition as well as conflicts. Apart from this, huge businessmen never leak their business ideas and information to get revenue and growth of the business in long term future. A survey conducted by a prestigious newspaper of Britain shows that 10 out of 9 successful people never share their valuable information freely to get best results in upcoming future.
A fraction of people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible to get others view. Also, sharing information will also give back other person information and point of view.
Different people have different opinion about the statement but I have sound reasons to advocate that people should not share their personal and valuable information. In my opinion, some information regarding academic world or daily talks can be shared.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'scientific research' being private is mentioned but lacks specific examples or depth. The point about '10 out of 9' successful people is logically flawed and lacks credibility, which weakens the support for your position. To improve, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with logical reasoning and concrete, realistic examples rather than unsupported claims. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the points discussed in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Further enhancing my views' or 'Apart from this'. The transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt, and the logical progression within paragraphs could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences occasionally feels disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally to connect your ideas and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'grabbing ample of information' instead of 'accessing a wealth of information' and 'easily access to scientific researches' instead of 'easy access to scientific research'. The phrase '10 out of 9' is also a significant error in expression. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the range is somewhat limited and lacks the precision required for higher bands. Focus on learning common collocations and using more academic phrasing to improve your lexical range and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You frequently omit articles (e.g., 'to public', 'in long term future') and struggle with subject-verb agreement and preposition usage (e.g., 'can leads to'). Some sentences are grammatically awkward, such as 'is easy task owing to internet'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to affect the overall fluency of the text. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules, particularly article usage and verb forms, and proofread your work to catch these recurring slips.
