Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is always said that sharing information can helps one in many way but it should be share with right person only.Few people believes it is good to share as much as possible information in many scientific research , business and education world while others think differently and believe some information are too valuable to be shared freely . In my opinion , i personally believe both are right to some extent and it depends person to person that what should be share and what not.

In this paragraph we will further read about those who believe that sharing is good with one relevant example . Sharing is good some believe and i would say they are right to some extend because sharing about research , business idea and academic world can pop out new and creative ideas in one's mind and that can be helpful in many ways and can change one's destiny but it should be share with right person .As an example , In India years ago a space rocket called Mangel was made and in that all department faces their own problem so they share it with their leader and they help to solve problem and due to which that space mission was sucessfull and India became first o to reach mars in first trial.

In this para we will read about those who believe some informations are too valuable to share with an relevent example. Some secrets or informations are kept hidden is good because it can have bad impact on one's life and that can be very destructive in one's life. Let's understand by an example , if any celebrity shares too much about their personal life in front of media that can spread rumour very quickly and can make their life difficult and stressful.

Consequently , it is good to share problem to right person because that can have big impact in one's life and valuable information should be kept hidden only because nobody knows when a friend can also became rival .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, fulfilling the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. The example regarding the Indian space mission (Mangalyaan) is relevant but lacks sufficient detail to fully support the argument about information sharing in research. Similarly, the example regarding celebrities is a bit generic and does not deeply explore the 'valuable information' aspect in a business or academic context. The position is clear, but the overall depth of analysis is limited, which prevents a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive, particularly the introductory sentences for each paragraph (e.g., 'In this paragraph we will further read...'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within and between paragraphs. While the progression of ideas is logical, the reliance on simple transitions makes the flow feel a bit disjointed at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'pop out new and creative ideas' instead of 'generate' or 'foster', and 'all department faces their own problem' which is grammatically and lexically imprecise. The repetition of basic words like 'good', 'share', and 'information' limits the lexical variety. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to the topic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('sharing information can helps', 'some information are'), article usage, and punctuation errors (e.g., spaces before commas). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting. The control over complex structures is inconsistent, and the overall accuracy needs significant improvement to reach a higher band.
