Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people argue to communicate in scientific research, bussiness and academic world while some argue that some part of information are confidential so it needs to keep private. I firmly contend with the latter view.
If we talk about the scientific world which include the crucial knowledge that require privacy for instance Abdul qadeer khan a well renowed personality had been kept in army protection, all of this has been done because of a scientific formula that was crucial for the opponents. Apart from that in this fast paced life competition is cut throat and that majority of the students adopted the strategy not to mention the resources they have used for their exams in academic world. In bussiness world people have followed the rule not to reveal the classified information which has assisted them to upscale the products and steps they have taken.
If we share the information with everyone that will have detrimental affects like in academic world there will be no competition if every student have the same guidelines similarly in bussiness even a minor piece of information will affect the economy additionally in science mostly dependent on the formulas, theories which could bring an advancement in the technology.
In conclusion every piece of information is vital enough to make an impact of the life of people it is best to keep it concealed unless it is necessary to share and that applies to every section of the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. The example regarding Abdul Qadeer Khan is relevant but lacks sufficient explanation to fully support the argument. Furthermore, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the depth of the discussion. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more comprehensive exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'Apart from that', 'In conclusion'). The transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. While there is a logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing make the flow feel slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that sentences are linked more naturally would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several spelling errors, such as 'bussiness' (business) and 'renowned' (written as 'renowed'). Some word choices are also slightly imprecise, such as 'upscale the products' or 'detrimental affects' (should be 'effects'). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and ensure you proofread for basic spelling errors. Expanding your vocabulary to include more topic-specific terminology would also help demonstrate a wider range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('every student have', 'science mostly dependent') and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures. Careful proofreading for these recurring errors is essential.
