Student answer (Band 5.0)

While various people thinks its good to share more data related to scientific aid, other works and academic world whereas some believed that does not share any information related to any documents or personal belongings because they are valuable and should remain confidential.

There are several reasons behind both opinions.Firstly if we share information regarding to herself some people feel jealous while some people becomes happy. As I have example of my own life recently I am pregnant and am hidden this news even from my family for at least two months but after sometimes my mother in law tells about this to my mother. My mother becomes happy she tells this news to my best friend who got married till last two years who did not have this news yet so, she does not feel happy so much.

Also the data about any documents and personal belongings does not need to be shared they should be hidden from others.

Apart from that, some information are need to be shared with others and knows their ideas about that. For example if we start business but other did the same business as well its important to discuss with them because they tells about the work and their experiences with that work in past and in present. To start a business its essential to have some know how prior to start them.Data about academic also needs to be discussed some have good knowledge about some topics as compared to others its a good habit to knows other opininos first then tells your own ideas.

In conclusion, its good to share some information regarding to education, businesses. While some information are so valuable and important and should remain confidential.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is weak and often irrelevant. The prompt asks about scientific research, business, and the academic world, but the student focuses heavily on a personal anecdote about pregnancy, which is not relevant to the topic. The discussion on business and academia is superficial and lacks the depth required for a higher band. While a position is stated, the supporting arguments are not well-extended or focused on the specific contexts requested in the prompt. The response stays on topic in a general sense but fails to engage with the professional and scientific nuances expected.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently interrupted by the personal anecdote. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Also', and 'In conclusion', but they are often used mechanically or to connect ideas that do not follow logically. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition from the prompt's topic to the personal story is abrupt. The flow of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument's development throughout the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. The student uses basic terms like 'good', 'happy', and 'important' throughout the text. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'scientific aid' instead of 'scientific research' and 'know how prior to start them'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic with any precision or sophistication. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of academic or professional terminology prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'various people thinks', 'some information are'), verb tense consistency, and article usage. Sentence structures are predominantly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is usually clear, the high frequency of basic errors in grammar and punctuation indicates a lack of control over sentence structure, which is characteristic of the lower band levels.
