Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you identify both sides of the argument, the discussion is underdeveloped and lacks depth. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a full summary of your position. To improve, you must ensure you provide a balanced discussion with sufficient supporting examples for both perspectives and complete your essay with a clear, final thought. The focus is also slightly shifted toward 'personal information' rather than the broader context of scientific and business research mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay uses basic paragraphing to separate ideas, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'While, other says', 'And which is a one concern'). The progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete conclusion and some awkward transitions between sentences. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally, and ensure that each paragraph flows logically into the next without relying on repetitive sentence structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'share', and 'information'. There are also noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'digitalize' instead of 'digitized' and 'parson' instead of 'person'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas about scientific or business research effectively. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to data security, intellectual property, and academic transparency, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling to avoid distracting the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('crime related to cyber is also increases'), incorrect verb tenses, and punctuation errors. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors that impede clarity (e.g., 'might be create dispute'). The incomplete final sentence also demonstrates a lack of control over sentence structure. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs, before attempting more complex structures.
