Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern world, information plays a crucial role in scientific research, business and the academic world. While Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible, others believe that some information is very important and valuable to shared freely. In my point of view some people invest lots of money to make that information so we have to care which information needs to share freely and which information we have to be keep private.
On the one hand, sharing information is beneficial for society and can provide good knowledge to society. Firstly, in the research people can make good research rather than establishing the old research. Like, in the scientific research one of the researchers can establish the research and other can elaborate about the research like if its related to vaccine one can do research and other can tell how we have to use and what the precautions for that. So, it is good to provide the whole information about the research so people cannot misguide about the information and cannot misuse the vaccine, half information is not good customers.
On the other hand, some information is not good publish freely because researcher invest a lot of money and time to do the research and make the product and competitors can use that information and can make the same product and can do the same research. So, it is not worthful for the company.
In my point of view, we have to share some sort of information but not all the information. If it is related to medical or health so researcher should have to share all information so it can't harm any people.
In conclusion, although sharing information can promote scientific advancement, education and innovation, some information is too valuable or sensitive to be released freely. The best approach is therefore to encourage the responsible sharing of knowledge while protecting information when there are legitimate reasons to keep it confidential.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both sides of the argument and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of vaccine research and the protection of intellectual property in business. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why information should be kept private in business is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your examples with more depth and nuance, ensuring that the link between your examples and the broader argument is consistently clear throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'half information is not good customers'). To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your pronouns and references clearly point back to the intended nouns to create a smoother, more natural flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, covering topics like 'scientific research', 'intellectual property', and 'innovation'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'worthful' (which is not standard English) and 'misguide about the information'. The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and avoid repeating basic words. Focus on using more precise terminology to express your ideas, which will help your writing sound more professional and sophisticated.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'some information is very important and valuable to shared freely' (should be 'to be shared') and 'researcher should have to share' (should be 'researchers should'). Punctuation and article usage also show inconsistencies. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement, correct passive voice construction, and consistent use of articles to improve your grammatical accuracy.
