Student answer (Band 5.5)

Information is one of the key factor to know about a person, thing or other stuffs. It acts as a link between raw facts and knowledge , helping humans and systems make decisions which reduce uncertainty and communicate ideas. Few people rely on sharing more information as needed in things like scientific research , business or in academics while other have a belief of not sharing it freely as it is a precious means of a piece.

It is good to share information as much as a person have knowledge about for a scientific research as it gives clarity to scientist about the items they are working on which will eventually gives a definite outcome leading to developing world where about in commercial and academic world sharing much information about self or regarding business will lead to progress in career and employment respectively.

But there are some personal information which should not get leak for example passwords of any important details or bank account number or secret internal information of a successful business as it can be use against ourself as not every one is trust worthy. There are more jealous people around than well wishers which leads to a massive down fall in business or academics of a person.

In conclusion as per my point of view one should keep an high observation of its where abouts and should share limited information as much as it is needed rather than becoming overfriendly or naive because not every one is trustful.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is quite limited. The arguments regarding scientific and commercial information are somewhat superficial and lack specific, well-developed examples. The discussion of 'personal information' (passwords/bank accounts) is slightly off-topic, as the prompt focuses on scientific, business, and academic research data rather than personal cybersecurity. The position is clear, but the supporting points lack the depth required for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'where about in commercial and academic world'. The logical progression between sentences is occasionally strained due to grammatical errors, making some parts of the argument feel disjointed. While there is an overall attempt at a logical flow, the lack of sophisticated linking words limits the coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of unnatural phrasing, such as 'stuffs', 'precious means of a piece', and 'keep an high observation of its where abouts'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of the message. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on basic terms rather than more academic or topic-specific collocations that would demonstrate a higher level of lexical control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('Information is one of the key factor'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction ('which will eventually gives a definite outcome'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. These errors are frequent enough to cause some difficulty for the reader, though the overall meaning remains generally understandable.
