Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary era, many individuals believe that it is good to share information as possibly as you can about certain professions, such as scientific research, business and also in the academic world, while others argue that such precious or valuable information should not be delivered freely. I firmly agrees to both perspectives that certain amount of special information should not be distributed freely, but also for in some cases, information should be granted freely and equally to all.

On the first hand, many people have a certain believe that for the good cause of the world, many specialists or highly expert individuals should grant important information to all people about their professions. Such as, in scientific research, in business or in academic education. I personally concur with this point of view that education and essential information should be free for all, For instance. in this era. every important info about specific group can be easily be found with the help of internet. While some data might not be available but it is very fundamentally strong for beginners. And researchers about business or in scientific/medical should provide this info so everyone can acquire it without any pressure.

On the other hand, I also agrees to the point that not all information should be fully free, because it makes sense that if he/she person have spent thousands of hours to gain knowledge about a certain profession and if he/she granted it for free then it is not worth it. Like mostly, these specialists make their own courses for such crucial info so that there is some positive outcome of what they have spend. Secondly, many people specially youngsters in these common days don't value free info. So I think for some cause it should not be free.

To conclude this, a balance approach works best that certain knowledge of professions should be equally free for all irrespective of others believe but I also agrees that for far more detail information we need to invest it our own selves by buying courses or enrolling ourselves in academic institutions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding why information should be free relies on the general availability of the internet, while the argument for restricting information focuses on the effort of the creator. These points are relevant but could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The position is consistent throughout, but the explanation of the 'balanced approach' in the conclusion is slightly vague.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the first hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude this'. However, some of these are used incorrectly or mechanically (e.g., 'On the first hand' is non-standard; 'On the one hand' is preferred). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences occasionally feels disjointed due to grammatical errors that interrupt the logical progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'information', 'free', and 'good'. Some word choices are awkward or imprecise, such as 'as possibly as you can' instead of 'as much as possible' and 'special information' instead of 'proprietary' or 'sensitive' information. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated collocations and variety limits the score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Subject-verb agreement issues are common, such as 'I firmly agrees' and 'I also agrees'. There are also issues with article usage, prepositional phrases, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'For instance. in this era.'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures.
