Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is extensively acknowledged that it is beneficial for individuals to share knowledge of such aspects like new experiment information with other scientists and also education information with students and tutors. other think sometimes it is not good to share important information with others. The ensuing paragraphs discuss both notions deeply along with my personal perception included in conclusion paragraph.

To commence with, the devlopments sectors of nation like medical sector , academic and industrial sector these are the major pillars of a country if these all sections are interlinked with each other by exchanging thoughts then devlopment of nation rise more sifnificantly. To explicate education is depend on experiments of researchers and material come for experiments from industrial site so they all connected with each other. For instance, in the Hindustan Times newspaper once printed Japan and China were the country in the world those devlopment surged dramatically due good bondins in the ground level infrastructure.Hence, exchanging thoughts is the key to boost the speed of devlopment.

However, sometimes it is not good to share valuable information with strangers persons. To elucidate, we do not know about the intentions of others by chance if wrong person able to recieve critical information of nation then may be he will deal with terrorists and in return he earn money by selling information. For example, in 2015 there was a scientist Rohan Chadda in chandigarh laboratory he was under cover agent of Pakistan and he was giving crucial knowledge of pakistan soldiers to destroy India. Thus, some information have to be secret .

Agglomerating aforementioned points concluded that intersection of primary to tertiary sector is good for nation therefore, information also need to be secret with ohters as we do not familiar with intentions of others and I support this notion.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding the benefits of sharing information is quite general, and the example provided about Japan and China lacks specific detail to support the argument effectively. Similarly, the counter-argument regarding security is supported by an anecdotal example that feels slightly disconnected from the broader context of scientific or business research. To reach a higher band, the student should provide more nuanced reasoning and ensure that examples are more relevant and clearly linked to the prompt's specific domains of science, business, and academia.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To commence with' and 'Agglomerating aforementioned points' feel forced and do not always flow naturally. There are also issues with referencing and sentence-level cohesion, such as the abrupt transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph. While the overall progression is logical, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing mean that cohesion is not always managed effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary range is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'devlopments sectors' and 'good bondins'. The student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles with collocations. Spelling errors are frequent (e.g., 'devlopment', 'sifnificantly', 'recieve', 'ohters'), which occasionally distracts the reader. To improve, the student should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to research and business, and pay closer attention to spelling and standard word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('in medical sector'), incorrect verb forms ('education is depend on'), and punctuation issues. Many sentences are poorly constructed, which hinders the flow of ideas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar—such as subject-verb agreement and sentence fragments—prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to proofreading and mastering basic sentence construction is necessary.
