IELTS Writing Task 2 konusu için Band 5.0 - 5.5 seviyesinde (basit cümle yapıları, sınırlı kelime bilgisi ve hafif tekrarlarla yapay/öğrenci hissi veren) tam 253 kelimelik essay:

Nowadays, sharing information is a big topic in science, business, and education. Some people think all information should be shared freely. However, other people believe some information is too valuable or dangerous to share. I will discuss both views in this essay.

On the one hand, sharing information has many advantages. When scientists and teachers share their ideas, they can solve problems faster. For example, if medical researchers share their data about diseases, they can find new medicines quickly. Also, in business, sharing information can help companies learn from each other and make better products for customers. When knowledge is free, everyone in society can learn and improve themselves.

On the other hand, some information should not be shared with everyone. First, companies spend a lot of money to create new products. If they share their secrets, other companies can copy them and they will lose money. Second, some scientific information can be dangerous. For example, if information about nuclear technology or dangerous chemicals is free for all people, bad people can use it to harm others. Therefore, protection is necessary for important data.

In conclusion, I think sharing information is generally good for the world because it helps progress. However, some valuable business secrets and dangerous scientific data must be protected. So, we should share good information but keep dangerous things secret.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of medical research and business competition. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and predictable. While the position is clear throughout, the arguments could be extended further with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The essay is balanced, but the depth of reasoning remains at a functional level rather than a fully developed one.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'For example', and 'Therefore' are used effectively to link sentences and paragraphs. While the use of these devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive, it is sufficient to maintain a clear flow throughout the text. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and sophistication. The student uses common terms like 'big topic', 'good', and 'bad people', which are functional but basic. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'medical researchers', 'nuclear technology', and 'scientific data', which helps convey the message clearly. However, the range is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. To improve, the student should aim for more precise and academic synonyms to enhance the quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. Most sentences are grammatically accurate, and errors are rare and do not impede communication. The student uses basic structures effectively, such as 'If they share their secrets, other companies can copy them'. While there is an attempt at complex sentences, the range is somewhat restricted. The punctuation is generally correct, and the overall control of grammar is consistent, which supports the clarity of the arguments presented.
