Student answer (Band 5.0)

some individuals believe that share all information on the books research and business and other academic world and some of them believe that we should not give all the information because some of the information is too important we can not shared freely.

in my opinion, yes we should give complete information on the internet or books or any other relevent sites. because every men and women want to get information about the what ever is going in the country, out side the country or in the world. on the one hand some people do research on the issues or any state policy or any other important thing so they need complete data. for research the researcher want complete and true data. the scientist spend more and more time to give much information and the best result ever they preduce.

on the other hand some information are too much important that can not be shared freely, for instance state data can not be share to everyone or any book or website, or any education and also in business. for country like Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and China these countries can not share personal information the the books and on the other sites because these countries are enemy of each others in Asia. 3 of these countries have atomic power so they fought wars with each others. so its too important for country to not share valuable data on the internet and on any other thing, because for state security.

to conclude both of ideas of individuals thar personal data should be share or not. one group agrees and the other decline that so i discuss both of these ideas with examples and i agree with not share fully freely data on the scientific research, business and academic world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the necessity of research data are somewhat repetitive, and the explanation regarding national security is simplistic. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as you initially state you support sharing information, but then conclude by stating you agree with not sharing it fully. To improve, ensure your position is consistent throughout the essay and provide more nuanced examples that go beyond general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical. Phrases like 'on the one hand' and 'on the other hand' are used, but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs are often abrupt or missing. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall flow is hindered by the lack of varied linking words. Improving the use of logical connectors would significantly enhance the readability of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. You rely on simple words like 'good', 'important', and 'information' throughout the text. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'preduce' (produce) and 'relevent' (relevant). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations related to the topic of research, security, and academic transparency.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'researcher want'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. While there is an attempt at complex structures, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic sentence construction, correct verb tenses, and consistent subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy and clarity.
