Student answer (Band 6.0)
In todays era, one section of society thinks that it is good to share as much as information possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Other section of society thinks that some information are too valuable to be shared freely. I will discuss both views in the following paragraphs.
To commence with, sharing information is important in some cases as per sharing information in scientific research so that the medicines can be produced quickly and can be more effective. In other words if two nations best scientist share the information related to medicine with each-other the medicine will be produced quickly and will be more effective also the price of medicine will be normal so everyone can afford it. However sharing information in business effects in good way as well like if manager share information and gives advice related to partnership can affect in a good way. For instance, if they give information about product and two companies produce it with the help of partnership the outcome will be more better and can be sale on less price which will increase the sale and consumer would love to buy the good as it is not much expensive .In school sharing information help student to learn things easily because of the details and tricks.
Moving on further, some information are too valuable which should not be shared because if it got leaked it will put bad impact such as sharing some information in business related to future goal can be stealed by the competitives . Whereas sharing information in army related field can be stealed by opponents and they can win over the nation.
To conclude, sharing information is important but not all information are made to be shared some are to be kept secret.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, though the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention scientific research, business, and education, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-developed examples. For instance, the point about 'medicines' is a good start, but it remains general. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning with more detailed explanations of why information sharing or secrecy is beneficial in these specific contexts. Your position is clear, but the conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'However', and 'Moving on further'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural. Additionally, the flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed. For example, the transition from discussing business partnerships to school education within the same paragraph is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-connected theme will improve the logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'good way', 'bad impact', and 'normal price'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'stealed by the competitives' (should be 'stolen by competitors') and 'outcome will be more better' (should be 'better'). To improve, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form and context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some information are' instead of 'is'), article usage (e.g., 'in army related field'), and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'can be sale on less price'). While the meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors prevent the text from achieving a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with pluralization and verb tenses, to ensure your writing is more polished.
