Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is assumed that few individuals believe that it is better to contribute your share of knowledge as much as you can in today's world while others feel it is risky to share valuable insights openly. According to me,giving out the information you collect is crucial.
Providing the details regarding any scientific research, business and academic world is beneficial to everyone. These days the internet has made things easily available for us.We humans have only collected all these data and made it accessible. For example,my friend had to submit a research paper,it was a new topic for her.She collected all data from different resources like newspaper, books. She was able to complete her research because of all the facts obtained by her.
Knowledge sharing which is valuable can be risky because if we can free access to the important information it can be misused by humans. If any kind of data is out there openly it is threatful. For example if a company shares its insights to anyone it can be dangerous for its owners and employees. It has a possibility of causing harm to the companies image or by misleading everyone. So such kind of information should not be shared freely it should be kept confidential.
In conclusion,we have a lot of useful insights about everything in your country it is upon us how we consume the information and how we pass that to some else. Everything has a pro and con but being mindful is upto us.Knowelge should be shared openly in the form of books and papers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The example regarding the friend's research is a bit generic and does not fully explore the complexities of scientific or business information sharing. The discussion on the risks of sharing information is also quite brief and lacks depth. To improve, you should aim to provide more specific, nuanced examples—perhaps discussing intellectual property rights or the ethical implications of open-source research—to better support your arguments and demonstrate a more sophisticated understanding of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. There are also issues with punctuation, such as missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'me,giving', 'research,it'). Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring correct punctuation would significantly enhance the flow of your writing. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall structure could benefit from more sophisticated transitions between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on somewhat basic phrasing, such as 'good to share', 'things easily available', and 'threatful' (which is not standard English). There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'confidential' and 'insights', but the overall lexical control is limited. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary, and ensure that you are using words in their correct context to avoid awkward phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement, such as 'few individuals believe' (when you likely meant 'some'), and awkward phrasing like 'According to me'. There are also consistent punctuation errors, specifically missing spaces after punctuation marks, which makes the text look unpolished. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence structure variety and proofreading for basic mechanical errors will help improve your score.
