Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the present scenario the people believe that sharing the information with everyone is good for business purposes and research while some people think that this is not acceptable at some parts of life. i will discuss both views and will give some crucial examples in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, as we all know sharing information is good for some reason like if a team doing research on something so the all team members should have all the information about that topic so everyone can do as much best as they can. Apart from this , revealing information is not a better option every-time cause some information should be confidential. For instance, if a national academy want to to some steps to make their security better so that information should not be shared with anyone expect their team members.
Moreover, it is important sometimes to keep the information hide in some business needs cause revealing the information can be used as a wrong way, which will effect on that business sector. Although, in some situation of sharing knowledge about studies is good for sharing because we all know that sharing the knowledge in studies enhance the memory power of a student. For example, if two students are doing their exam preparation together and they are sharing their thoughts and information about what topics are they doin so they can help each other on some topics if anyone from them face some difficulties in some topics.
To conclude it, sharing information is not bad every-time but it should always depends upon the situation, timing, and topics. Some confidential things should not be shared for the sake of safety reasons.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding research and business are somewhat generic and lack depth. For instance, the example of 'national academy' security is vague, and the point about students sharing knowledge is a bit simplistic. To achieve a higher band, you need to extend your ideas with more specific, sophisticated examples and ensure your position is more clearly articulated throughout the essay rather than just in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'To begin with', 'Apart from this', 'Moreover'). There are also issues with referencing and logical flow; for example, the transition between the business argument and the student study example is abrupt. The paragraphing is present but the internal logical progression within paragraphs needs to be smoother to ensure that ideas connect more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'good for some reason' and 'wrong way'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'keep the information hide' instead of 'keep information hidden' and 'effect on that business' instead of 'affect that business'. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to research and intellectual property.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'if a team doing research' (missing auxiliary verb), 'revealing information is not a better option every-time cause' (informal 'cause' and awkward phrasing), and 'it should always depends' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. You need to focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb forms, and reducing informal language to improve your accuracy.
