In todays world information plays a vital role in scientific research, business and the academic world. While some people believe that information should be shared freely for development ,others believe that some information is be made public . Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding scientific research and national security are relevant but rely on simplistic reasoning and hypothetical or inaccurate examples (e.g., the reference to a 2026 event). The position is clear, but the conclusion introduces a new point about personal privacy that was not discussed in the body paragraphs, which weakens the overall structure. To improve, you should provide more nuanced explanations for your points rather than relying on brief, generalized statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'Moreover', 'For example', 'That's why'). There are instances where the connection between sentences is weak, such as the transition into the example about Bangladesh. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between the introduction, body, and conclusion could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'valuable' throughout the essay. There are also several spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'hiden' instead of 'hidden' and 'atom bomb made process' instead of 'the process of manufacturing nuclear weapons'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary limits the score. You should focus on learning collocations and more academic synonyms to express your ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include missing articles ('in todays world'), subject-verb agreement errors ('some information is be made public'), and awkward phrasing ('if nuclear or atom bomb made process leaked'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage.
