Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this topic shows people with their different opinions and different understanding about life.

It is fair for someone to believe that it is good to share as much information as possible research, business and academic world. While others believe information is too important or valuable to share freely.

Both may be right with point of views.

For some reasons it is good to share some valuable of research, business and academic, because i feel we can learn more by sharing valuable information especially in Academics and research. Information shared can be understood and analyzed differently compare to the understanding you have towards it. In business, information shared can be valuable too because it can give opportunity to learn other peoples view on it. learning other people business strategy can add to the knowledge you already has on the business. And with that you can grow your business.

So sharing valuable information is somehow good because it can be beneficial to the person.

In the other way, sharing some important and valuable information can also be a risk if shared with the wrong person. For example you can't share valuable information freely with someone that it's not made for. You can't share important information of a firm or company outside to unknown person or someone who is not part of the organization. If such is done will put the c0mpany's or firm important and valuable information which is supposed to be confidential.

So it is good to share valuable information but must be with the right people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the benefits of sharing information are somewhat repetitive and lack specific, concrete examples. The discussion on the risks of sharing is also quite general. To reach a higher band, you need to extend your ideas with more depth and provide more detailed, illustrative examples rather than relying on general statements like 'someone that it's not made for'. The position is clear, but the overall development is underdeveloped.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or repetitive, such as the repeated use of 'In business' and 'So'. The logical progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by the lack of sophisticated linking words. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between the introduction and the body paragraphs feels disjointed. Improving the variety of linking phrases would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive words like 'good', 'valuable', and 'important'. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'valuable of research' instead of 'valuable research' and 'other peoples view' instead of 'other people's views'. To improve, you should focus on using a wider variety of topic-specific vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical forms and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'In this topic shows', 'the knowledge you already has', and 'If such is done will put the c0mpany's...'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and subject-verb agreement.
