Student answer (Band 5.0)

People have different views regarding share information. Even though, a section of society feel that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and academic world, I believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely.

There are plenty of aspects related to information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Firstly, awareness among inhabitants. To explain it, if people have knowledge about science, education as well as business so they aware about it due to which they do not do anything which are not good for academic world, scientific research and business also. Secondly, expand their business. To elaborate it, when multifarious individuals have information regarding business so they can take right steps toward their business and earn much profit. That is why it is fruitful for the human beings.

There are many aspects about some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. The important one is leak information that are not to share anyone. In simple words, few information are most information and that are not a type of shared information owing to which it is not good as they leak precious information. Moreover, chances of fraud increase. In other words, if precious information leaked so it increase the chance of fraud .

To conclude, awareness among inhabitants and expand their business are principal reason behind this statement, I think that its leak information as well as chances of fraud cannot be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. For example, the arguments regarding 'awareness' and 'business expansion' are vague and lack concrete examples or logical depth. The explanation of why information should be restricted is also underdeveloped, relying on circular reasoning such as 'few information are most information'. To improve, you should focus on providing specific, real-world examples—such as patent laws in business or national security in scientific research—to support your claims. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack the necessary detail to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While you use cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Moreover', they are often followed by sentences that lack logical progression. For instance, the transition 'To elaborate it' does not effectively link to a clear, coherent explanation. Referencing is also problematic; phrases like 'this statement' are used without a clear antecedent. The overall structure is present, but the lack of smooth, logical connections between sentences makes the argument difficult to follow at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to convey complex ideas. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'information' without variation. There are also significant issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'leak information that are not to share anyone' and 'multifarious individuals'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To improve, you should work on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations appropriate for the topic, such as 'intellectual property', 'proprietary data', or 'transparency', rather than relying on generic, repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a section of society feel'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'if precious information leaked so it increase the chance of fraud'). There is very little evidence of complex sentence structures, and when they are attempted, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and ensuring consistent subject-verb agreement. Expanding your range to include more complex structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, will also help improve your score.
