Student answer (Band 5.5)
some individuals are quiet certain of the idea of disclosing as much as possible information regarding the experimental research, business and educational community. others hold the view that some data is too significant or priceless to be distributed liberally. some sort of information is too confidential to be shared with others but if it helps in the development of our nation,we should exchange such kind of information. in this essay, i will discuss how some data is so vital that we have to think over the idea of either disclosing it openly or keeping it safe restrictedly before concluding with my opinion.
By sharing as much as possible data regarding experimental inquiry, business and money world and educational community, we will be able to progress incredibly globally as a nation. if there is a some scientific achievement in our country as all research labs were in contact and exchanged info regarding the facts so the victory was all ours. likewise in the business world and academic community, we succeeded because of the fact that we worked together instead of being secretive and falling a prey to failure.for example, if we don't work together and start being secretive and there's something we don't understand it's better to ask for help to some known person than an unknown one.
opposite to above fact, there are quite some people who are fond of being mysterious it's just because they think so by disclosing too much valuable info they are determined to fail either this way or that way.scientific research, business and money and academic world, these three are the most important aspects that make up a nation. any information and data that is related to these three aspects should be kept a secret because any other nation can easily harm us by disclosing these information.for example,if any information is disclosed related to business we will face a severe loss in business world.
in my opinion, i will say that we shouldn't share the data and info regarding scientific research, business and academic world because it is too valuable and the whole nation can collapse if any of these has to face a major damage.
in conclusion, both points are valid but if we keep the information secure by not disclosing it,we as a nation can make a great progress.and will somehow become a great country one day.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument for secrecy relies heavily on the vague notion of 'harm' to a nation without providing specific, concrete examples of how such information leaks would manifest in a business or scientific context. The ideas are presented but lack the depth required for a higher band score. The position is consistent, but the supporting arguments are underdeveloped and rely on generalizations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'opposite to above fact' are awkward and do not effectively signal a transition. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'these' to refer back to multiple concepts. While there is an overall progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the flow feel disjointed at times. Paragraphing is present but the internal logic within paragraphs could be more tightly connected.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. There is a reliance on basic or repetitive phrasing, such as 'scientific research, business and money and academic world' which is repeated multiple times. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'falling a prey to failure' or 'keeping it safe restrictedly'. There are also minor errors in collocation and word formation that occasionally hinder the flow, though the meaning remains clear throughout the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'in business world'), incorrect verb forms, and run-on sentences or comma splices (e.g., '...being mysterious it's just because...'). Punctuation is often inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and demonstrate a lack of control over more complex grammatical structures.
