Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern era, few individuals often argue that it is beneficial to sharing data for scientific research, business and the academic world. However, some people consider that we should not share valuable information for free. Therefore, I will discuss both factors with my point of view.
Naturally, sharing data for research, economics and study, is considered more essential for living standards, creating inexhaustible facilities for those factors, that are not available from other sources. Therefore, it becomes much easier for scientists to continue research, for example, when scientists are exploring an unknown location, they cannot just trust their devices, they also need local help who live here and they have much more data from those devices, as a result, with those important that is provided by locals helps more in their core research.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely limits your ability to develop your ideas. You have introduced the topic and mentioned both sides, but the discussion is incomplete and lacks the depth required for a higher band. You have not provided a clear personal opinion or a conclusion. Because the response is less than 150 words, it fails to address the task requirements adequately, resulting in a low score for task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into two paragraphs, but the second paragraph is underdeveloped and lacks a clear logical progression. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'Therefore', their usage is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraph is abrupt. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that ideas are linked more fluidly to guide the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision expected for an academic essay. You rely on repetitive phrasing such as 'sharing data' and 'important'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'creating inexhaustible facilities for those factors'. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and demonstrate a better grasp of word choice and collocation in a formal context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text contains several grammatical errors that hinder clarity. For example, 'few individuals often argue that it is beneficial to sharing data' should be 'to share data'. There are also issues with sentence structure, such as the run-on sentence in the second paragraph: '...they cannot just trust their devices, they also need local help...'. You should focus on using a mix of simple and complex sentences while ensuring subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms to improve your accuracy.
