Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued that it is acceptable to give information and facts abut scientific research, business and the academic perspectives without any limitations. Others contend that some pieces of information are so vital and confidential so that these are not spread freely without any legislation. I agreed to the perspective that many facts and knowledge about some specific visions in technological research, business and educational world are so valuable to countries that they can not be publicised without any restriction.

Although its so crucial for the progress of a country to glow more with new technological techniques in their industries and education horizons, shared these techniques to all over the world may prove fatal for the positive sake of the country. For example, its very dangerous for a country to share their atomic energy innovations to other countries as well as to public. Pakistan faced significant issues due to the break down of these legislation by some traitors. Moreover, It is significant to establish some policies related to on air the specific facts, as these are not capable of doing any harms to moral values of the country.

On the other hand, when some educational and business facts shared globally, it gives more connection to prosper the country. At the same time if this type of information is not checked out properly before sharing to others, they may cause a negative impacts on the business individually as well as on global level. They may be not suitable for others. For instance, the policies of developed countries not valid to under developed countries. India and Pakistan not able to follow the educational and business reforms of the UK. There should be limitations to share these information while checking the standards of facts.

In conclusion, i believe that all types of facts and details about a technological research ,academic and business related reforms should not be share freely to any one .This may cause detrimental effects on the progress of these specific changes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the point about national security (atomic energy) is relevant, the explanation regarding why educational reforms from the UK might not work in India or Pakistan is slightly underdeveloped and lacks clarity. The essay covers all parts of the prompt, but the arguments could be more logically extended to reach a higher band. The position is consistent throughout, though the reasoning occasionally relies on generalizations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Although', 'For example', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', which help the flow of the text. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'related to on air the specific facts'. Referencing is generally clear, but the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. The use of cohesive devices is sufficient to guide the reader, but there is room for more sophisticated linking to improve the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to convey their meaning clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'technological research', 'confidential', and 'detrimental effects'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'glow more with new technological techniques', 'on air the specific facts', and 'break down of these legislation'. These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the precision of the argument and indicate a need for more natural phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('policies... not valid'), missing articles ('to under developed countries'), and incorrect verb forms ('should not be share'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors is noticeable and prevents the essay from reaching a higher band for grammatical accuracy.
