Student answer (Band 5.5)
A segment of the population reckon that allocating knowledge in distinctive fields such as experimental analysis, corporation and institutional area could be advantageous while other populace illustrate that sharing imperative data could be dangerous.
I will discuss both views in the forthcoming paragraphs and believe that it is the right of every individual to be aware of the facts.
Highlighting the first aspect, sharing data and facts could make people knowledgable about the surroundings around them and grab the possibilities of jobs of thei perspective interest. Additionally, I would like to cite an example to support this view that one of my cousin was always curious about the study of stars, moon and space and by researching about it more on websites he was able to grab the job of an astronaut. If sharing information is giving people the opportunities to rise and unleash their hidden talents then it mjst be shared.
Now, shifting to another aspect of limiting the openness of data as per by some individuals could be of the opinion that people with wrong intentions can misuse the information and in the consequence of it commit crimes such as cyber crime , artificial intelligence and many more. Onlone crime rates are day by day are escalating and people had no apprehension of legal consequences.
To recapitulate in short, it can be concluded that not every individual wants to misuse the data if they are provided with good opportunities and punishments should be striclty given so that no one dare to think of doing it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the benefits of sharing scientific and academic data freely and the dangers of doing so—and includes a clear personal opinion in the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and leans towards over-generalisation. For example, the argument regarding the dangers of open data vaguely references 'cyber crime, artificial intelligence and many more' without fully exploring the nuance of proprietary business or sensitive national security data. The examples provided, such as the cousin becoming an astronaut through space research, are a bit personal and anecdotal rather than fully developed societal arguments. Nevertheless, the position is maintained throughout the response, earning it a solid Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs exploring opposing views, and a brief conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'Highlighting the first aspect' and 'Now, shifting to another aspect'. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'in the consequence of it' and 'people had no apprehension'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrasing 'as per by some individuals could be of the opinion', which disrupts the logical flow of the sentence. Progression is generally discernible, but the clumsy transitions limit the score to a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary with mixed success. There are some attempts at less common lexical items, such as 'distinctive fields', 'apprehension', and 'escalating'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text. For instance, 'allocating knowledge' is used where 'sharing' or 'disseminating' would be appropriate, and 'corporation and institutional area' contains awkward phrasing. Furthermore, there are spelling and word form errors such as 'knowledgable', 'thei', 'mjst', 'Onlone', and 'striclty'. Because these vocabulary errors and awkward collocations occasionally impede smooth reading, this performance fits the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over multi-clause structures (e.g., 'If sharing information is giving people the opportunities... then it must be shared'). However, the text contains frequent grammatical errors and awkward syntactical constructions that interfere with communication. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues and clunky phrasing like 'other populace illustrate that', 'people with wrong intentions can misuse the information and in the consequence of it commit crimes', and 'people had no apprehension'. Punctuation is also erratic in places. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
