IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Write about the following topic: Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's world, Information plays vital role in scientific research, business and the academic world. Some indiviuals believe that the information should be shared as widely as possible, while others believe that the information is too valuable to be distribute freely. This eassy discuss both views , and I believe that sharing information is beneficial, provided that sensitive and valauble information is protected.
To begin with sharing information is beneficial to all as they promote development and innovation. In scientific research, researcher can collobrate, and shared ideas for innovation. For example, scientists reserach in the field of medicial science they can shared it with government and which helps in development of vaccine and medicines. similarly in the field of academic world, teachers and studebts gets benefits from research papers,educational devices /resources. In business sharing information within in orgination csn improve team work , productivity.
On the other hand, some information is so confidential or valuaable that should not distribute freely. Likewise, In business sector some biding for tenders or company futuristic plan for growth cannot be shared to public as it hinders their growth. similarly, In the field of scientific research, some research work is very confidential that they cannot be shared to everyone it may leaks one's country's information.
In my openion, Information sharing should be encouraged ecause it supports innovation, education, and socail progress. However, this doesnot mean every type of information should be shared publicly. sharing information at what extent tht is not harmful to anyone.
In conclusion, although sharing information offers significant benefits to all who enjoys it . And confidential and valuable information should be protected so that it cannot be misused. A balanced approach should be encourages knowledge exhange while respecting privacy.
