Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many individuals think that it is better to share more information on different plateforms. While, some argue that to share data freely is crucial and most valuable. From my perspective, it is better to share information through both ways because it depends on the data how much it is important for everyone.

There are innumerable benifits to sahre information through different plateforms. Firstly, through different plateforms inforamation is go through from numerous scholars which leads to reality of information. As a result, there is no chances of mistake in the date. In addition, it is aslo supported by evidence of scientists those who having truly experience in their fields consequently it builds trust in public. Furthermore, it gives more opportunity to the community to enhace their knowledge about the information which leads to confidence.

On the other hand, there are various reasons to give data freely which are significant for environment. To begins with, everyone dont have access of different educational sites consequently they stay unawre from the valuable data which leads to low confidence in the individuals. Moreover, it is very necessary to share data freely because it leads to well awareness of the environment among peoples.

To reiterate, to share information on different plateforms is good for everyone and have a lots of advantages but share data freely when it is nessecary for everyone is also good because the inforamtion depends on the situation. I am convinced both methods are good according to the circumstances.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address all parts of the task by discussing both the views on sharing scientific and academic information and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The student confuses the two opposing views in the body paragraphs, treating sharing information through different platforms and sharing data freely as two separate concepts rather than contrasting open science against restricted data. Furthermore, the length requirement of 250 words is not met, as the response contains 247 words. This results in a slight penalty under Task Achievement. While a position is stated in the introduction and conclusion, it lacks depth and clear elaboration. To improve, the student must ensure the word count exceeds the minimum and develop more distinct, well-supported arguments for each side of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some overall organization with clear paragraph breaks, but the logical progression is frequently hindered by repetitive phrasing and confusion over the two viewpoints. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often basic, mechanical, or awkwardly applied, such as 'To begins with' and 'To reiterate'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the conclusion where the distinction between the two views becomes blurred. Paragraphing is attempted, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from run-on structures and a lack of smooth transitions. To achieve a higher band, the student should use a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a distinct, logically connected focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent misspellings and inaccurate word choices throughout the text. Examples include 'plateforms' instead of platforms, 'benifits' to sahre instead of benefits to share, 'inforamation', 'date' instead of data, 'aslo', 'enhace', and 'nessecary'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'innumerable', but these are undermined by persistent spelling errors and awkward collocations, such as 'reality of information' and 'well awareness'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, but the high frequency of spelling mistakes and limited vocabulary flexibility prevent the response from reaching a higher band score. The student needs to focus on accurate spelling and expanding their repertoire of precise academic vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response shows a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently marred by grammatical errors. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'everyone dont have access of different educational sites' and 'peoples'. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with run-on sentences connected by conjunctions like 'consequently' without appropriate punctuation or conjunction coordination. While some basic sentences are clear, the density of grammatical errors occasionally causes difficulty for the reader. To improve, the student must work on sentence boundaries, accurate verb forms, and mastering complex sentence structures to reduce error frequency.
