IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Write about the following topic: Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

A certain number of individual holds a view that it is far better to share every information and data in scientific research, business and the academic world, While others argue that some information is highely essential or significantly valuable to shared for every one freely. This essay will discuss the both views in a formal way.

Firstly, the authorities should share the information about scientifiic research, business trades and the regular activity of academic world. This might provide several benefits for every citizen in the country if it become possible. Because sharing scientific data can promotes scientific progress and innovation, many citizen in a nation have knowledge about different technology and work, sharing information can offers help for scientist in few experiments and discoveries. However, providing information of business and organization would improve the production and manufacturation of products for long-terms, when people are able to know about the products which is being in process of manufacture, individuals could recommend the necessary and convinent facilities on that items , not only companies experience profits but also the local people who utilize the product on later days were in safe side.For Example, In the era of covid-19, all over the world scientist co-operation among them and sucessfully research about diseases and share the formulation of making vaccination which can help other researchers to develop treatment faster.

On the other hand, some information should be protected,because certain business data is commercially valuable which might create loss and financial challenges for that comapny if information share freely to every people. In addition, some scientific discoveries and innovation have harmful affect if the research secrets spread for normal individuals and they misused for wrong palce. Furthermore, every person and confidential have fundamental rights of privacy to secure or protect their regular life as well as employemnt lives important information.

In conclusion, although sharing information and data about every scientific research, business trade and academic world provide assist in required situation, improve the production of business and work become much faster than before but i think this create more negative affect than positive due to loss and financial challenge in trade, misused for wrong place which might difficult for long-term.
