IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Write about the following topic: Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some person think that it is better to share the crucial information related to scientific research, business and academic world with everyone. But, others agrue that this kind of information is too sensitive and cannot be shared with everyone. It shares only to respective person or company that wants the information.
In the initial believe, if the information is provided properly to the community then everyone will be aware of what happening in the world. Moreover, it has a positive impact of persons to engage with information. For instance, if a info related to malaria or any other disease is share with everyone then people prevent themselve from illness. Additionally, if the information or data related to scientific research programs or businesses then the persons who initiated their work will already knows the basic information from this. The best sources of sharing information are instagram, facebook, and websites. As a result, people will get benefit from this way.
Other think that information is quite significant and precious, so it cannot be shared with everyone without any cost. It will only tell to the desired persons, who wants some information regarding these suitable fields. For instance, the scientific information related to research on bacterial virus.. So this type of information cannot be shared with others. If the information is spreading freely, then people will misuse their skills. So, it also have a negative effect on society. However, information is just only shared with desired recipients not others.
From my perspective, I strongly believe that information cannot be shared with everyone without concern. Only those type of information will be shared that would be beneficial for society and create awareness. If the delicate information is spreaded, then it will cause harm to the society. Because we never estimate that how the other person use this information into another way. That's why sharing information that will only helpful for other persons.
