Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individuals arguee that it is better to transfer as much knowledge as possible in scientific research, buisness and the acdemic world. But others belive that some data is too important or too worthy to be share freely.

Some people argue that share the information as much as possible in the academic world .i largely agree with this some infromation is necessary to share with everyone that everyone should benefit from knowledge .When we share knwoledge with erveryone freely then everyone will gain knowledge and education will be free every where. It is the fundamental rights of persons to gain information everywhere in the world and gain experience .

Some people belive that some data not for everyone and not necessary to share important data with anyone.i agree with this openion because some important information must be keept secret not reveled untill and unless his real owner not give you consent. Some time we do alot of research on some topic and we want to publish but someone copy of data which is illegal and that wy i am against that to share information with everyone.

To conclude that i largly agree some knowlege or data must be share with everyone to promote equilty in gaining education and our society will be more educated. But some extent some information must be secret and not reveled for everyone for the safety and security.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views regarding the sharing of information and provides a personal opinion, which satisfies the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the ideas are under-developed and lack sufficient explanation or concrete examples. Furthermore, the length requirement of a minimum of 250 words has not been met, as the response contains only 227 words. This under-length impacts the overall development and depth of the response, limiting the band score. To achieve a higher score, the student should expand upon their arguments with detailed explanations and real-world examples, while ensuring the word count requirement is fully satisfied.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is divided into four paragraphs, reflecting a basic structure that attempts an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is weak and transitions between ideas are abrupt or missing, such as jumping between points without clear cohesive ties. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentence-level cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical (e.g., repeating 'Some people believe...'). Referencing is also unclear in places, such as pronoun ambiguity ('his real owner'). Overall arrangement shows some organisation, but the lack of smooth transitions and effective cohesive devices places it within the Band 5 descriptor.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently reusing words like 'share', 'information', 'knowledge', and 'important'. There are also numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'arguee', 'buisness', 'acdemic', 'belive', 'openion', 'keept', and 'reveled'. These errors occasionally cause slight strain for the reader, though communication is generally maintained. To improve, the student needs to develop a wider range of vocabulary, incorporate less common lexical items with appropriate collocations, and pay closer attention to standard spelling conventions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('share the information'), incorrect prepositions, run-on sentences, and poor punctuation (e.g., missing spaces after periods and commas). For instance, phrases like 'untill and unless his real owner not give you consent' and 'that wy i am against that' demonstrate significant structural and accuracy issues. While some simple sentences are correct, the frequency of errors in complex structures affects readability and places the writing firmly at Band 5.
