IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Write about the following topic: Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 4.5)
Different people have different perspectives some says that it is important to publish all your findings, research and information in the papers while others believe that there is something important so that we need to keep it secret. As per my opinion I partially agree with both the statements because the one who think to share all the information in the publications they want to make their articles benficial for the mankind while the think that the information that mislead the peolple and in return society will harm.
Lets talk about the first opinion in which people share all the information they have it has some benefits like it provides the information to the new researchers and motivates them to do something that would be naval. A part from they it also allow people to know more about something .
On the other hand if we talk about the other group who think not to share all information because some scientific research includes the crucial data that if it reaches to the prisoners or the bad people they would take advantage from this information and do something wrong that will be harmful for the society as it also a cause of disasters for the whole mankind.Else if this information reaches to the traitors of the country they leak this information and in return harm the country.
In the end, I want to justify my statement by saying that both perspectives are benificial and one should do what its article require and do according to need and safety.
