IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Write about the following topic: Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued by many people that it is good to share the information in scientific research or any business world, while some believes that information is too important to be shared casually. In my opinion ,i agree with others who thinks about our own choice and the privacy.
In one hand, people loves to share their ideas and want to step in different kinds of research and businesses, but it is not necessary and overall safe for us. Sometimes we can get scammed or like became victims in these kind of situations. Let's say you are preparing something for a long time and you get what you wanted but it doesnot play same role on everyone. Sometimes sharing a lot of information might cause a big problem.
On the other hand, not sharing also may not give the outcomes you wish or want. For example; lets say ,you are preparing something for a long time and no one uses it or your value is not being seen. It is also like a obstacle for us. If the ideas are effective and being properly used then it's a blessing to know that the ideas and the information are at the right hand and being used in a right way.At some point, you may have very important information or it is very much valuable , in that case you should think properly before doing anything.
In conclusion, we should both be careful while sharing or keeping information. If the knowledge is somehow can contribute the people or country then it's good to share but if it is something personal information that you really don't want to share is also okay. Just do what you want and think before you act.

Cohesive devices are used mechanically and sometimes inaccurately. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it harder for the reader to follow the flow of arguments smoothly. Overall progression is weak, fitting the Band 5 descriptors where there is some organisation but a lack of clear overall progression.

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently circling back to words like 'information', 'share', 'ideas', and 'good'. There are noticeable inaccuracies in collocation and word choice, such as 'at the right hand' instead of 'in the right hands' and 'contribute the people' instead of 'contribute to people'. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey a general meaning, the range is restricted, and errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. This performance closely corresponds to Band 5, where the lexical resource is limited and noticeable errors occur.
