Student answer (Band 5.0)
Everybody has their own opinion. People that believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the acdemic world does have their reason for it. They want the people on the other end of these things such as scientific research readers and other people that pursue business or academic world know what they are dealing with. That will help them know and understand that aspect clearly and even if they do want to experiment something they will have enough info to support it or to reject it. While other that believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely are right on their part as well. Because some info if gone into wrong minds can cause big trouble. They can use that information to do bad things, or crimes. They will exploit the field that they try that in which will cause harm to the people or society which at the end just happened because they had too much information regarding something. I fall in the second catagory and their is a reason for it. I believe that only relevant information should be given but too much information should not be given. If a person wants to pursue something let's say he wants to get into businesss. And he has enough information about it he should start implementing whatever he knows and then keep trying and testing to find out what works and what doesn't which ultimately helps him know the value of it and keeps him humble. while if he knew everything from the start it makes that person more cruel and arrogant and he starts behaving that he knows everything and ultimately falls in to the character that is doing harm to the people or society in some form.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the task by discussing the views in favour of sharing information freely and the opposing view that some information should be restricted. A position is presented where the author states, "I fall in the second catagory." However, the ideas are somewhat limited and lack sufficient extension or formal examples, tending to rely on repetition rather than fully developed academic arguments. For example, the explanation regarding business information leading to arrogance is somewhat simplistic and lacks concrete illustration. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the overall development corresponds to a Band 5.5 or 6.0 descriptor profile, as the main points are present but under-developed and lack the depth expected for higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text suffers significantly from a lack of proper paragraphing, as the entire response is written as a single massive block of text. This severely impacts the logical flow and visual organisation of the essay. Cohesive devices are basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple conjunctions like "and", "because", and "while" to link clauses. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as in sentences like "They will exploit the field that they try that in". Although there is a discernible overall progression from discussing the first view to the second view and then the personal opinion, the inadequate paragraphing and mechanical referencing place this essay firmly in the Band 5 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally repetitive and basic, featuring frequent simple terms such as "things", "good", "bad", and "stuff". There are several spelling and word-choice errors, including "acdemic" instead of academic, "catagory" instead of category, and "businesss" with an extra letter. Less common lexical items are rarely attempted successfully, and phrases like "gone into wrong minds" or "does have their reason for it" show limited lexical flexibility and unnatural collocation. The range is minimally adequate for communicating basic ideas, but noticeable errors and lack of sophisticated phrasing restrict the score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic coordinate and subordinate clauses. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty or overly convoluted, such as "People that believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the acdemic world does have their reason for it." There is a lack of subject-verb agreement ("world does have"), punctuation errors, and run-on sentences. Frequent grammatical errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader and impede smooth comprehension, aligning closely with the descriptors for Band 5.0.
