Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people believe that it a good idea to share each single detail as possible in scientific research however, i believe some information our personal that should be shared freely.
First of fall, it is worth considering that there our some key idea of the buisness which makes our buisness unique from others, if we share that idea subsequently anyone can copy it and make same empire which will can raise the competition for us due to fact there is a rule in buisness or acdemic world that being unique or being a step forward can make you being succesfull becuase if we will do what others are doing so we are just in rat race . for instance when a coder make a website he just launch his website and hide his backend and ensures that no one will copy it because there is always a key element which make different from others and thats only the way to be successfull.
However, it is undeniable that sharing there valuable information freely is also peramount for instance a new brand started virat kohli which share all the procees of making its products which increase the reliability and customer staisfaction towards that brand. although, it is unforgetten that sharing valuable information goes with only some buisness id buisness man will share his key element subsequently anyone can copy it and make a better than it which can lead to downfall.
In conclusion, weghing up both the sides of the argument, i firmly believe that advantages of hiding valuable information outweigh its disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the view that information should be shared freely and the view that some information is too valuable to be shared, while also providing a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the argument regarding business uniqueness is overly simplistic and relies on a single repetitive example about a website backend. Furthermore, there are contradictions in the first sentence where the student writes that 'each single detail as possible in scientific research' should be shared, 'however, i believe some information our personal that should be shared freely,' which slightly confuses the stance on scientific research and academic contexts. Overall, the task is addressed, placing this response at Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text is organised into four paragraphs with a clear attempt at an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by poor cohesive devices and a lack of clear referencing. Sentences often run together into long, comma-spliced chains without appropriate punctuation or conjunctions, as seen in the sentence starting with 'for instance when a coder...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical ('First of fall', 'although, it is unforgetten'). Additionally, the transition between ideas can be abrupt, making it sometimes difficult to follow the logical flow. These issues align with the characteristics of a Band 5.0 performance.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of inaccurate lexical choices and spelling errors include 'buisness', 'acdemic', 'succesfull', 'peramount', 'procees', 'staisfaction', and 'weghing'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'subsequently', 'reliability', and 'downfall', but these are often undermined by pervasive spelling mistakes and awkward collocations like 'rat race' used without adequate contextual framing. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, meeting the criteria for a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The student demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and overly long, complex sentences that are marred by frequent errors. Punctuation is largely neglected, resulting in numerous run-on sentences and comma splices, such as 'many people believe that it a good idea to share each single detail as possible in scientific research however, i believe some information our personal that should be shared freely.' There are also persistent subject-verb agreement errors and misuse of auxiliary verbs ('there our some key idea', 'which will can raise'). Because frequent errors cause noticeable strain and difficulty for the reader, this warrants a Band 4.5 score.
