Student answer (Band 5.0)
Data and Information , Facts and Figures are very important for the scientific research. It is effective to share information in scientific research, business and in the academic result. However, some people believes that some sort of information is extremely important as it can not be shared widely and freely.
It is widely believed that sharing information proved to be beneficial for the scientific research, business and the academic world. Sharing information on the public platform is very helpful for the researchers.
Some people think that information could not be shared widely because some information consists of very confedential and private matters. If important and beneficial information is shared widely hackers and attackers may be steal data and use the data for the criminal purpose.
Fom my perspective I want to say that information and data can not be shared widely and freely. Sensitive data may be stealed by someone or misuse by someone. So it is not safe to share information freely and widely.
For Instance I want to explain that once I shared my information to some institutes and on websites. From there my information is stealed and misused and my fake jazz cash account is created. this account is used for fraud purposes. When i became 18 i want to create my jazz cash account i could not do so because of old illegal account. Then i immediately block and report this fraud account to get rid of these illegal activites which are on my name .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on information sharing and providing a personal opinion, which aligns with the Band 6 descriptor. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the student mentions that 'hackers and attackers may be steal data,' but does not elaborate further on scientific research or business contexts. Instead, the essay shifts quickly to a personal anecdote about a 'jazz cash account.' While the prompt allows for relevant examples from personal experience, grounding the entire argument in a single personal fraud incident under-develops the broader academic and scientific aspects of the prompt. Therefore, the task is addressed, but the depth of discussion restricts the score to a Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, satisfying the basic requirements for a coherent arrangement. However, paragraphing and logical progression are frequently faulty. The paragraphs are very short and sometimes consist of only one or two sentences, such as 'Some people think that information could not be shared widely...' followed immediately by another short paragraph. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or mechanically applied, as seen with repeated transitional phrasing ('It is widely believed', 'Some people think', 'For Instance'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and there is a lack of smooth transitions between the abstract prompt topics (science and business) and the specific personal example provided at the end. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary to communicate basic ideas related to the topic, such as 'scientific research,' 'confidential,' 'private matters,' and 'illegal activities.' However, there are frequent lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'academic result' instead of 'academic world,' 'may be steal data' instead of 'may steal data,' 'stealed' instead of 'stolen,' and 'misuse by someone' instead of 'misused.' These errors, combined with noticeable spelling mistakes ('confedential'), demonstrate a limited vocabulary range that occasionally causes strain for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay features a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence forms, such as conditional and relative structures ('If important and beneficial information is shared widely hackers and attackers may be steal data...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in verb forms and tense consistency, including 'some people believes,' 'information could not be shared,' 'is stealed,' 'When i became 18 i want to create,' and 'this account is used.' Punctuation and capitalization errors are also present (e.g., lowercase 'i', missing commas after introductory phrases, and spacing errors around periods). Because errors occur frequently and occasionally impede smooth reading, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
