Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people are sharing even a little information with eachother through different means including internet, social media accounts, and on calls as they think it helps people to grow according to the demands of society. On the hand people believe that some informations are too confidential sharing them publically will damage the countries or people life. In my opinion it is very important to keep an eye on data before sharing.

Although it is believed that sharing new findings and their results and whole procedure with people around globe eill benefits people in to keep themselves in pace with the trends. Another interesting point that, people from bussiness industries share there incomes and company loss and benefits with people to just attract the experienced people for hiring them in company. For instance, people from academic sectors share there results and failure and success of there students and staff for having a number of admissions and for sponsers which help them to improve their infrastructure and other facilities.

On the hand, people having stong determination that sharing every single information freely is not a clever act. The first reason behind this is due to data privacy concerns. The hackers or trappers may use the data to harm the system or even the whole country. This could set the data of large number of people at risk. The enemies within country can use scientific reasearch data to damage the harmony of country. Second reason is it can cause difficulty for people to separate the true infromation from the wrong one this lead to misinformation among people. To extend the meaning if people try to search for best school for their children they visit different school websites and they will get confused because every school shared a lot of information which makes it difficult for parents to which aspect they have to focus and what they can ignore.

In conclusion, sharing information about scientific research , academics and bussiness will help people to choose best option for their selves and well as it can lead to data privacy concers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the benefits of sharing scientific, business, and academic information freely versus the potential dangers of confidentiality breaches and misinformation—and provides a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas lack full development and depth. For instance, the discussion on how businesses share losses and profits is somewhat superficial, and the reasoning regarding school websites causing confusion is a bit tangential to the core debate on sensitive research or business secrets. Furthermore, the position could be stated with greater clarity and extension. While all prompt requirements are met, the support and elaboration align best with a Band 6.0 descriptor.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response is organised into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs discussing each view, and a conclusion, which provides a logical structure overall. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Although it is believed', 'Another interesting point', and 'On the hand' (a typo for 'On the other hand'). However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, the transitional phrases used to introduce opposing views are slightly unnatural, and the pronoun referencing in sentences like 'this lead to misinformation' lacks a smooth connection. Paragraphing is present, but the internal progression within the second body paragraph feels slightly disjointed due to abrupt shifts between data security and school choice.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common terms such as 'confidential', 'infrastructure', and 'data privacy concerns'. However, there are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the essay, including 'eachother', 'publically' (publicly), 'bussiness', 'there' instead of 'their', 'stong' (strong), 'reasearch' (research), and 'infromation'. Furthermore, some collocations are awkward, such as 'harm the system or even the whole country'. Because these vocabulary errors occur frequently but do not impede overall communication, the lexical resource fits the Band 5.5 profile.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating subordinating clauses like 'Although it is believed that...' and 'If people try to search...'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent structural errors, run-on sentences, and missing prepositions or articles, such as 'sharing them publically will damage the countries or people life', 'eill benefits people in to keep themselves', and 'what they can ignore'. Additionally, missing subjects or poorly linked clauses appear frequently (e.g., 'Second reason is it can cause difficulty'). While the meaning can still be understood, the high density of errors prevents the score from reaching a Band 6.0.
