Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is undeniable that different people have different opinions. In this regard, it was believed by some people that it is good to share much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world, whereas some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. I agreed with latter viewpoint due to some reasons which will be outlined in the upcoming fragments with a logical conclusion.
On the one side, some scientists do not share their information as freely because they do a lot of efforts and practise to prove it right. The first and foremost reason is that if they share their information as without any cost then scientists feel that they lost their part of a life because information is so much precious for them. Due to this , they cannot share infomation easily with anybody. Otherwise, if they want to share their information, then scientists recieve the money from customers to invest in new research.
On the other hand, it is good idea to share information as freely because it is beneficial for everyone. To explain it more, they can easily get knowledge about reseach. For example, poor people is an advantage because they cannot afford the expensive information. If important information to be shared freely, poor peole can easily learnt about it.
In conclusion, although there are some benefits of formal viewpoint such as they invest money on new research, lost their part of life. Yet, poor people cannot be neglected at any cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
First, please note that the response contains only 228 words, falling short of the minimum 250-word requirement, with 24 words copied from the task prompt correctly excluded from this count. Regarding task response, the essay addresses the task only partially. While it attempts to discuss both views and gives an opinion, the position is not always clear, and the ideas are limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument about scientists losing 'their part of a life' is unclear and lacks adequate support. Examples provided, such as 'poor people is an advantage', are confusing and tangential rather than properly extended, keeping the content at a minimal level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation evident with basic paragraphing and an introduction and conclusion, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas throughout the text. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, such as the frequent use of transition phrases like 'On the one side' and 'On the other hand' without smooth logical links. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as seen in sentences like 'To explain it more, they can easily get knowledge', where the pronoun 'they' lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraph structures are somewhat disjointed, preventing the essay from flowing logically from point to point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas. There is an attempt to use topical words such as 'scientific research', 'academic world', and 'investment', but noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling occur frequently throughout the text. Examples include 'infomation' (spelling), 'recieve' (spelling), 'learnt about it' (form), and awkward collocations like 'do a lot of efforts and practise'. These lexical limitations and errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the expression of precise or sophisticated meanings.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer uses a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including problems with subject-verb agreement ('poor people is an advantage', 'scientists recieve'), incorrect article usage ('the latter viewpoint', 'as without any cost'), and awkward prepositional patterns. Punctuation errors are also present, such as unnecessary spacing before commas. Complex clauses often lack control, leading to sentences that are structurally clumsy and grammatically inaccurate.
