Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few individuals believe that it is fine to share as much knowledge as possible in the scientific research, business and the academic world. On the contrary, it is believed that some details are too significant or too confidential to be shared freely. In my opinion, I think sharing all the data will have a negative impact in business and scientific research as this kind of information contains alot of private facts and figures which are supposed to be kept in secret due to the risk of the leaking the important facts. Whereas, academically it is suggested that the tutors should inculcate all the relevant knowledge with the scholars and pupils.

Academically it is needed that the tutors must be efficient enough to deliver all the mandatory points of the lecture. For example, in the teachers training it is emphasized to share every bit and corner of the targeted topic to the subjects to clarify all the complexities related to it. Additionally, Keeping in mind the teachers role in the students lives the tutors should be mindful of not revealing the learning differences of a specific child in front of the brighter group within the classroom environment. On the other hand, they should also not share the results of her designated group to the other sections.

Scientific research and business contain alot of sensitive information which can have a dangerous consequences if shared randomly whereas, the knowledege shared in these fields is always precise. For example, the security of the staff and the flow of the system demands massice amount of privacy which compels the organizations not to notify others about the each and every detail of the project.

In the concluding statement, it is concluded that the information shared in all the above three sectors must be according to the relevancy and need of the subbjects. All kindof infromation is not for everybody.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both the benefits of sharing information and the reasons for keeping certain details confidential, while also providing your own opinion. However, some areas are only partially developed. For instance, your discussion of academic sharing touches on teacher training and classroom management, but these points are somewhat tangential to the broader academic and scientific research themes introduced in the prompt. To move to a higher band, you need to extend and support your main ideas with more relevant examples that directly address the core concepts of scientific, business, and academic knowledge exchange without drifting into specific pedagogical minutiae.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your essay displays some overall organization with clear paragraph breaks, dividing the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression between ideas, and some transitions feel mechanical or abrupt, such as moving from academic contexts directly into scientific research without a smooth conceptual bridge. Additionally, cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate or repetitive, relying heavily on basic linkers like 'Additionally' and 'On the other hand'. To improve, you should ensure that each paragraph flows logically into the next and that referencing pronouns, such as 'they' and 'their', clearly connect back to the intended subjects to enhance the overall readability and cohesion of the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You demonstrate a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'confidential', 'inculcate', and 'sensitive information'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations that cause some difficulty for the reader, including 'kept in secret' instead of 'kept secret', 'dangerous consequences' instead of 'danger consequences' or 'serious consequences', and 'subbjects' which contains a spelling error. Furthermore, phrasing like 'every bit and corner' is unnatural in a formal academic essay. To reach a higher level, you should aim to use a wider range of precise vocabulary with correct word forms and collocations, while avoiding repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

Your writing exhibits a limited range of sentence structures, and your attempts at complex sentences are frequently marred by grammatical errors. There are noticeable issues with article usage ('in the scientific research... and the academic world'), pluralization ('a dangerous consequences'), and prepositional patterns ('risk of the leaking'). Furthermore, subject-verb agreement slips occur, such as 'the knowledege shared... is always precise' combined with other structural awkwardness. Your sentences tend to rely on a mix of simple forms and faulty complex structures, leading to frequent errors that cause some difficulty. To achieve a higher band, you need to demonstrate better control over complex grammatical forms and ensure greater accuracy in punctuation and syntax.
