Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, information is very important in scientific research, business and education. Some people believe that information can be shared freely, while other believe that some important or too valuable to be shared freely. In these eassy I would share my view.
On the postive side, talk about information sharing like scientific information. If scientist share information with other scientist it helps both For instance, if scientist give information about any project other scientist also give suggestion and help in it and it was helpful for them.
On the other postive side, education related information is also very helpful. For example teacher gives knowledge to student it helps student in their study and also if student share information with their teacher about their study teacher help student and give solutions of there problems.
On the other hand, business is too important or valuable to be shared freely. For sample, in business information is very important like if company share there ideas then other companies copy there idea and earn money it is not good for business. So in business it is very important information should be private. If you want to be share so, share with trusted people.
In my view, information share have many benifical and it help in many cases. But talk about in business it will be private and if you want so share with trusted people.
In conclusion, sharing information can help develop society and solved some problem. But some information is very important and valuable so it can be private. Therefore, there is balance between sharing information and protecting important information.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views regarding information sharing and includes a personal opinion, satisfying the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive, reflecting a partial approach to the prompt. For example, the arguments regarding scientific and educational research lack depth and rely on simplistic explanations, such as stating that scientists give information and others give suggestions. The conclusion summarises the main points, but the overall progression of ideas remains somewhat restricted. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend and support all ideas more fully with well-elaborated examples rather than relying on generalised statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organisation with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression of information throughout the text. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical and repetitive manner, such as the frequent reliance on transitional phrases like 'On the postive side' and 'On the other hand'. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, and internal cohesion within sentences is occasionally weak, causing the flow of ideas to feel disjointed. To improve, the writer should employ a wider and more natural range of cohesive devices and ensure that each paragraph transitions smoothly into the next to establish a clearer logical progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, featuring a restricted range of words and expressions. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word formation, and spelling throughout the response, such as 'Nowdays' instead of 'nowadays', 'eassy' instead of 'essay', 'postive' instead of 'positive', and 'benifical' instead of 'beneficial'. These lexical inaccuracies and basic errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their vocabulary range, incorporate less common lexical items with greater precision regarding collocation and style, and improve spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response employs a limited range of sentence structures, with mostly simple sentences and poorly constructed attempts at complex forms. Frequent grammatical errors are present throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement, missing articles, incorrect verb tenses, and awkward prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'information share have many benifical'. These frequent errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and impede comprehension. To progress to the next level, the writer needs to demonstrate a greater variety of complex sentence structures and exercise much better control over basic grammar and punctuation to reduce error frequency.
