Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and give a personal view: the first body paragraph supports sharing information to advance knowledge, while the second raises privacy and misuse concerns, and the conclusion favours permission-based sharing. These points are relevant, but the discussion is only partly developed. The benefits are illustrated through global warming, yet the link between open research and a practical solution remains general. The opposing view also focuses mainly on privacy and harmful use, without explaining why information may be commercially or academically valuable to its owner. Your position becomes clearest in the conclusion; state it more directly in the introduction and support each side with a specific, explained example to make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “On the contrary,” and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links between claims and examples. For instance, the point about privacy is followed by a broad statement about unethical use, then an example about scientific data and ecosystem effects, whose connection to privacy is not fully explained. Some linking phrases, such as “In this way” and “Consequently,” feel mechanical or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. Use more precise referencing and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point; this would make cohesion more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific,” “privacy issue,” “critical information,” and “ecosystem,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “positive approach.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less clear. Phrases such as “to given information,” “the curiosity in scholars foster them,” and “unrelevant scientific data” are difficult to interpret naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “global warmning,” “debelop,” “realted,” and “sholud.” Aim for accurate, straightforward academic phrasing before trying more elaborate expressions, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “share research findings,” “protect intellectual property,” and “misuse data” would suit this topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “When the information will provided to learners, then they will try…” and a concession in the conclusion. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction can make the reader pause. For example, “it will cause to enhance the knowledge” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “the curiosity in scholars foster them” has a subject–verb agreement problem and an unclear structure. “Although to share the information to public is a positive approach but…” also combines clauses inaccurately. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses; check tense and agreement, and avoid using “although” together with “but.”
