Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response introduces the topic and begins to explain one reason for sharing information: it may help people who cannot afford access or who have questions. However, it addresses only one side of the discussion. The view that some information is too valuable or important to share, and your own opinion, are not presented, so the task is only partially addressed. The example about sharing scientific knowledge online is relevant, but its explanation is brief and does not show a specific outcome. The response also contains 101 words, below the required 250, leaving too little space to develop the argument. To improve, discuss both viewpoints, state your position clearly, and support each main idea with a developed example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic overall structure: an introductory paragraph followed by a paragraph beginning with “To begin with,” which signals the first supporting point. The opening also tells the reader that views will be discussed. However, the response ends before the promised discussion is completed, so there is no progression through both sides or a concluding position. Connections within the example are also difficult to follow, particularly in “it will help the people who can't afford or having doubts.” Build a clear sequence of paragraphs—one for each view, followed by your opinion—and use linking phrases to show how each example supports its point. Check that pronouns and references clearly identify the people or ideas being discussed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate its basic subject, including “scientific knowledge,” “business related information,” and “technology.” It also attempts phrases such as “improve in that particular field,” showing an effort to express a more specific idea. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. For example, “a knowledge” is not the natural form here, and “improve them and advanced” does not clearly express the intended benefit. Spelling errors such as “bussiness” and “particulary” are also noticeable. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling and word forms when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response includes simple statements and an attempt at a conditional sentence: “if a educated people will share a knowledge … it will help.” This shows an effort to use more than basic sentence patterns, but the conditional construction is faulty, and errors in articles and verb forms occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “a educated people” has an article and number problem, while “people who can't afford or having doubts” does not maintain a consistent grammatical structure. The opening also begins a new sentence with lowercase “some.” Practise forming accurate conditional sentences and check articles, agreement, and parallel structures. Clearer control of these patterns would make the ideas easier to understand.
