Student answer (Band 5.5)

Information sharing has become a widely discussed topic nowaday arround the world . some people belive that the informantion should be freely and completely available for everyone while other belive that some information should not get public.i personally belive that some information shold kept private for people's own safety.

people who thinks it is good to share information to everyone argue that the information should be available for everyone so evryone can have knowledge which can help them to excell in their respected feilds.information helps people to do scientific researchs which can help the scientist to discover something or might help some businesses to improve their sales or products.

on the other hand, the people who belive that the some information should not get public because it might had some bad effects on the world.information like inteligence reports, war insights, ciphers among countries, sensitive data & personal data of public ,database of companies, etc. should be privately shared between concerning parties which can harm public should be private.some information might cause uncertainity among the people of the world such as initial reports of corona virus which caused panic among the world. thats why i agree with this opinion because it is not important to publish every information to everone because there could be risk of misuse that might cause panic among the world.

there are sevral advantage and disadvantage of both opinions.some people think that every information should get publiced mainly because it might help scientists to do research and businesses might get help on ther othe side people think it should not get public mainly because ther could be a chance if security risk or panic arround the world and i agree with the second opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for keeping some information private, especially where safety is concerned. The examples of intelligence reports, company databases and personal data are relevant, and you explain that unrestricted access could lead to misuse or public panic. However, the case for open sharing is only briefly developed: you mention scientific discoveries and business improvement without giving a specific example or explaining how access benefits society. The claim about early coronavirus reports causing panic also needs careful explanation, since it is not clear what information was shared or how this supports your argument. Develop each side with a concrete example and make the reasoning behind your position more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each viewpoint, and a concluding summary. Phrases such as “on the other hand” help signal the change in perspective, and your opinion is repeated at the end. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas and examples are crowded into long sentences. The final paragraph largely repeats the earlier points rather than drawing them together or adding a clear concluding insight. Some links are also mechanical, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Give each main idea its own clear development, use full stops to separate examples from explanations, and make the conclusion synthesise the discussion rather than restate it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “intelligence reports,” “sensitive data,” “security risk” and “misuse,” so the reader can understand the main subject and concerns. However, the range is limited and some wording is imprecise or repetitive, particularly repeated uses of “information,” “public” and “help.” There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “nowaday,” “belive,” “inteligence” and “uncertainity,” which make the writing less fluent and can slow the reader. Some combinations are unnatural, for example “get publiced” and “war insights.” Build a more precise set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; this will make your arguments clearer without changing their meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because it might had some bad effects” and a relative clause in “which can help the scientist to discover something.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “people who thinks,” “some information shold kept private,” and “there could be a chance if security risk,” where agreement, verb forms or sentence construction are not controlled. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “the scientist” and “researchs.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization need attention too. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete clause patterns, then proofread each sentence for verb forms and punctuation.
