Student answer (Band 5.5)
Scientific research has important information in terms of business or academic, several researchers believe that should be affordable to everyone, others contend with the idea because it is so valuable. In this essay i will examine both points of view before presenting my own opinion.
In one hand, some people support the notation that information it is not a secret, the primary justification for this veiwpoint is that many students need it to learn or prepare their thesis perfectly, furthermore it is often used to develope infrastructures or bases in country, hence, database must be easy to get. For example, authorities or executives looks firstly at the data they have before start a new project.
In the other hand, a contrasting perspective holds that no one can reach or even see information, the most significant factor underpinning this argument is the observation that seberal countries faced a risk beacuse they share research from their databases, in addition proponents of this view highlights the fact that to get information it is so hard and spend too much. this is particularly evident in geological, electrical or hydraulic search, it costs a lots of money, therefore financial founded is vert important.
from my perspective i inclined to agree with sharing information is a good thing to help both students and governments, i believe the overwhelming benefits make it more convincing argument.
In conclusion, while both views present a valod point particularly concerning to share information it is a good thing or not, i maintain the former view because it is more helpfull.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a preference for sharing information, particularly in the opening and final paragraphs. The points about students using research and governments consulting data before projects are relevant. However, the opposing view is difficult to interpret: the claim that “no one can reach or even see information” is too absolute, and the risks faced by countries are not explained with a clear example. Your own position is present but only briefly justified by saying sharing helps students and governments. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and clarify what kinds of information may need protection, such as commercially sensitive or security-related data.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting contrasting views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction reasonably easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “In one hand,” “In the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” However, these transitions are sometimes inaccurate or mechanical, and the separate opinion paragraph is very short and does not connect its reasoning fully to the discussion. Some links between claims are unclear, particularly the move from countries facing risks to information being costly. Use more precise transitions and develop a clearer progression within each body paragraph: state the claim, explain it, then give a relevant example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “research,” “database,” “infrastructures,” and “geological, electrical or hydraulic” research, and you use some formal framing phrases. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “information” and “view,” while several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear. For example, “share the notation” and “financial founded” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “prepare their thesis perfectly” is also an awkward combination. Spelling errors such as “veiwpoint,” “seberal,” and “valod” further reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are expressed precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “hence,” and “before,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and verb forms appear in examples such as “researchers believe that should be affordable,” “authorities or executives looks,” and “before start a new project.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “the overwhelming benefits make it more convincing argument” and the lower-case starts after full stops. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses while checking that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
