Student answer (Band 5.0)

Sharing necessary information through online is a habit for users nowadays. While some beleive that people should share as many as information as they can in scientific research, business and with the academic world, others think that it is too valuable to be shared online.

I will give my honest openion on it.

It is very much needed to share the information online, beacuse without doing so it would be impossible for us to enjoy many facilities. Firstly, considering stand out to the marketing and business world, it is the begining process to connect with digital market. For example, a person who wants to be a freelancer always needs to share their information through the public. Secondly, it is considered to have different identity with different information given by them. As every single person needs to have seperate profile type, it is often view as the normal thing.

On the contrary, it could be turned out devastating for users who share their personal information in regualr basis. Firstly, it creates space for the hackers to hack someones information, which later lead to as finansial lose. For example, a person who shares his information on unauthorised platforms might risk their all into it. Secondly, it opens the higher risk of loss at the market, beacuse some people might have a bad eye on them.

In conclution, sharing information is the primary stage to get connected via online. But, I do belive that sharing information in a unverfied page or websites might be risky, while some information which are must can be put on trusted platforms.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present both sides and give a personal view, especially in the contrast between sharing information for business and the risks of hackers. However, the response only partially addresses the specific topic: it focuses mainly on personal information shared online, rather than information in scientific research and the academic world, and the distinction between valuable information and information that should be shared freely is not explored. The business example about freelancers is relevant but unclear, while the point about “different identity” is difficult to understand and does not explain why broad sharing benefits business. Your conclusion favours using trusted platforms, but this is not quite a clear position on how much research, business, or academic information should be shared. Develop each side with specific, task-focused reasons and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “On the contrary” help signal the sequence, so the reader can identify the intended contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is limited because several points are listed without being clearly connected or explained. For example, the link between freelancers sharing information and “different identity” is unclear, and “a bad eye on them” does not show how this relates to market losses. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the general idea of online sharing rather than drawing the discussion together. Make each paragraph develop one central claim, then use clear references and explanations to show how each example supports it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “digital market,” “hackers,” and “financial loss,” and you attempt to express both benefits and risks. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “considering stand out to the marketing,” “different identity,” and “a bad eye on them.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “beleive,” “begining,” “regualr,” and “conclution.” These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your points. Build a more precise vocabulary for the task, such as terms for research findings, commercial confidentiality, intellectual property, and public access, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “A person who wants to be a freelancer…” and a contrast introduced by “While.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or incomplete. For example, “without doing so it would be impossible for us to enjoy many facilities” lacks a clear reference for “so,” while “which later lead to as finansial lose” has problems with clause structure and verb agreement. Other errors include “some people should share as many as information” and “information which are must,” where grammatical forms do not fit the intended meaning. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly around sentence boundaries. Practise accurate clause construction, agreement, and articles, then proofread each sentence for a complete and clear grammatical structure.
