Student answer (Band 5.0)

some people belive its good to share information in scientific research, business and the academic world. Personally i agree with this statment because this information help students in study. For example a scientific research help student to do new experiment and a business information help student and give new ideas. its also help student to learn about new things, and improve there intelligence, skills and also provide better career opportunities. Moreover information give us knowledge and its help to understand the world and learn about new thing.

Others people believe that information is too important to be shared freely. I agree with this statment because its true that some information is too valuable and to be shared freely on social media its too dangres. For example you will share important information on social media some people use this to do wrong work.

In conculsion, i partly agree with this both point, than you share information its help to student to learn abount new things, and than you will share too impotant information its is dangres.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both views and state a personal position, especially in “Personally I agree” and “I partly agree,” but the position is not fully consistent or explained. The benefits of sharing are mainly linked to students, while the risks are described only generally as information being used for “wrong work”; the discussion needs clearer, specific reasons and examples for both sides. The conclusion repeats the main points rather than resolving the balance between them. The response is 164 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum; 8 words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count. Develop each view with a relevant example and explain your own judgement more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: it introduces the topic, discusses the two positions in separate paragraphs, and ends with a conclusion. Connectors such as “For example,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several points repeat the idea that information helps students learn. Some links are unclear, particularly “than you share information,” and the conclusion does not clearly connect the two sides. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain it and give a specific example. Use referencing and linking phrases carefully so the relationship between each sentence is clear rather than relying mainly on basic connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “scientific research,” “business information,” “knowledge,” and “career opportunities,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with “information,” “student,” and “new things” appearing repeatedly. Several spelling errors, such as “belive,” “statment,” “dangres,” and “conculsion,” make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some phrases are also imprecise, for example “do wrong work” and “improve there intelligence.” Build a wider range of accurate expressions for discussing benefits, risks, and confidentiality, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain your ideas without repeating the same basic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences use simple structures, and the reader can generally follow the intended meaning. There is an attempt to extend ideas with “because,” “For example,” and “Moreover,” but the range of sentence forms remains very limited, and errors occur frequently. Examples include “this information help students,” “its also help student,” and “some people use this to do wrong work,” where agreement and sentence construction need attention. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including lowercase “i” and run-on sentences joined by commas. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete sentence boundaries, and basic complex sentences. For instance, separate the example from the preceding claim and check that each subject has the correct verb.
