Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. I perticularly believe that as much information as possible to share must be shared freely. Even the more important the information is the more it need to be circulaed freely.
I firmly support the free circulation of information in scientific research, business and the academic world because people need to be educated and informed. Information should be easily accessible and available. For example, many people around us are not aware about money management or financial management. That's why they save their money and keep in their house idlely though it could be invested somewhere. We all know how important the investment and rolling the cash are for developing the economy of a country.
Many people may think, some information should not be provided freely rather it should be sold. In this case, people cannot access the information they need and may take wrong decisions. Which can affect their individual growth as well as the country's. Importance does not automatically turn any information into an asset which should be sold. Instead, more important the information is more accessible to public it should be.
In conclusion, I would suggest and recommend as much information as possible should be shared in scientific research, business and the academic world to make the world informed. Information should not be hidden or sold whether it is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. It should be shared freely.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear opinion in favour of freely sharing information, and your example about financial knowledge and investment is relevant. However, the opposing view is only briefly acknowledged: you say that some people think information should be sold, but do not explain why they might value privacy, commercial advantage, or protection of research. Your own argument is also asserted more than developed, particularly the claim that important information should be more accessible. The response contains 208 words, so it is 42 words below the 250-word minimum; 63 words copied from the prompt were not counted. This limits the space available to address both views and support your position fully. Develop each side with a reason and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally focus on relevant points, and phrases such as “For example” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression is somewhat repetitive: the idea that information should be freely accessible is restated several times without adding much new reasoning. Some links are awkward or unclear, as in “In this case,” which does not precisely identify the situation, and the sentence beginning “Which can affect…” is a fragment rather than a smooth continuation. To improve, organise the body around distinct arguments for each view, then connect claims and examples with clearer references and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial management,” “accessible,” “investment,” and “developing the economy.” These choices make your main position understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “perticularly,” “circulaed,” “idlely,” and “rolling the cash.” Repetition of “important,” “information,” and “shared freely” also reduces flexibility. Some word combinations need more precise phrasing: “aware about money management” would be more naturally expressed as “aware of money management.” Aim to use accurate topic-specific terms and vary repeated wording—for example, distinguish public access from commercial confidentiality—while checking spelling and collocation carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your central view using mostly straightforward sentence patterns, and there are attempts at more complex structures, such as “though it could be invested somewhere.” However, the range is limited, and errors recur in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “as much information as possible to share must be shared” has an unclear structure, while “the more it need to be circulaed” has incorrect agreement and an incomplete comparative construction. “Which can affect their individual growth” is a sentence fragment, and “the more important the information is more accessible to public it should be” is difficult to follow grammatically. Practise building accurate comparative clauses and joining dependent clauses to complete sentences; this will make your reasoning easier to understand.
