Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's rapidly evolving world, the issue of sharing information on scientific research and business has become a matter of considerable public interest, prompting widespread debate regarding its impact on individuals and society, While some people firmly believe that it is advantageous to share information on business and the academic world, other argue that few types of data and information can not be shared with everyone due to security and privacy issues. I strongly aggree that sharing each and every detail with numerous people is not safe and secure and it makes this approach considerably invaluable because technology can be misused easily..

To begin with, one of the primary advantage of sharing information is that it encourages people and business to grow and advancement in the fiels of business and science, therefore, it plays an imperative role in the GDP of the country. Secondly, Sharing scientific research information leads to move informative and innovations in the field of science and technology. For instance, when scientist share information regarding medicene of incureable disease and help each other in innovating new vaccine, eventually, they can save plenty of lives.

On other hand, exchanging views on each and every project can be disastrous for people and nation as a whole, the reason is, terrorist can misuse the technology for producing mass destruction weapons, biological weapons is an excellent example of this matter. Not only this, some entrepreneurs develop their own formulas and techniques to develop new products, therefore, it will hinder their growth and profit, so sharing data and information will not be beneficial for all.

To conclude, I firmly maintian my stand that techonlogy and business ideas should not be shared with everyone because it can be misused by bad persons. Consequently, embracing this perspective would not benefit individuals and society, as it can break peace and lead to divstating long-term effects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear position: you argue that unrestricted sharing can be unsafe. The benefits are supported with a relevant example about researchers sharing medical knowledge to develop vaccines, while the opposing view is illustrated through the possible misuse of technology and businesses protecting their methods. This covers the task well, but the two sides are not developed equally: the benefits paragraph explains collaboration and innovation, whereas the risks rely mainly on broad claims about terrorism and profit. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not weigh the competing arguments. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely when sharing is beneficial and when restrictions are justified, and extend each example to show its consequences.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “therefore, it plays an imperative role in the GDP” does not clearly explain how sharing leads to national economic growth, and the long opening sentence joins several ideas without clean punctuation. The second body paragraph also moves quickly from weapons to entrepreneurs’ formulas, so the relationship between these examples could be made clearer. Use linking phrases selectively, and organise each paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and a directly relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “security and privacy issues,” “biological weapons,” and “formulas and techniques.” These choices make the subject clear, and some phrases show an effort to use more formal language. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “aggree,” “fiels,” “medicene,” “incureable,” and “divstating.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “move informative and innovations” and “bad persons.” Repetition of “share information” and “technology” limits flexibility. Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise terms such as “medical research,” “commercial advantage,” and “potentially harmful applications” would help express your ideas naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “when,” “because,” and “as,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “one of the primary advantage” needs a plural noun, and “other argue” needs a plural subject form. The opening contains a comma splice between “society” and “While,” while the sentence beginning “On other hand” joins independent ideas with commas, making the structure difficult to follow. There are also awkward constructions such as “leads to move informative.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and separating complete sentences; then vary complex structures while keeping each clause grammatically complete.
